MSIF’s mission is to lead the global MS movement by stimulating research into the understanding and treatment of MS and by improving the quality of life of people affected by MS. In undertaking this mission, we utilise our unique collaboration with national MS societies, health professionals, people affected by MS and the international scientific community.
Through our awards we support researchers beginning their career in the MS field and recognise the work of eminent MS researchers. The prestigious *MSIF Charcot Award* for a lifetime achievement in research into the understanding or treatment of MS is awarded biennially and I am pleased to inform you that the 2009 winner is Professor John Prineas from Australia. * *
